Om Sleiman Farm projects

Om Sleiman Farm started in 2016 in Bil’in as a community supported agriculture (CSA) project. A team of Palestinian women run the farm. They grow organic crops which regenerate the soil. They sell fresh produce directly to local Palestinian family subscribers. This creates a sense of community between members and the farm.

Om Sleiman is more than an organic farm, it is an educational and volunteering hub in their community. Since 2018 they have offered training and workshops on food production and food justice to the community.

They have started a herbal project that will be another source of income for the farm, and allow more women from the village to join them. They need a rainwater pond or well so they don’t have to buy water again. They make their own compost, and a chipper would make the process easier and more efficient. Thanks to your help, a grant from LOCF is going towards projects like these.
