Palestinian food forest

At the PFTA, the grassroots Trees for Life program has been expanded to include biodiversity planting. This is a regenerative Cultivation of Life program! They are diversifying their tree planting to include organic sumac, carob, sycamore, figs and grapes. All will provide nourishment and a sustainable income for a farm family for many seasons and years to come.

More roots in the ground protects the planet by adding moisture back into the soil and producing nutrient-dense food. All crops thrive. You are feeding Palestine, keeping farmers on their land against great odds, and helping to create an independent Palestinian economy.

Sustainability through diversity was traditional in Palestine. More roots in the soil makes Palestine a year-round food forest like it was for thousands of years.

In 2023 you planted 8,783 grape vines, and fig, pomegranate and apricot seedlings! Thank you.
